The Recommend Guidelines for the manufacture of Fabric Face Masks by South Africa’s Clothing & Textile Manufacturing Industry for General Public Use have been published on 9 April 2020. These Guidelines were compiled with advice from the World Health Organisation (WHO) as well as through insights provided by colleagues from the textile and polymer science programme within the University of Stellenbosch, the clothing and textile technology division in the Cape Peninsula University of Technology and staff at the National Department of Health and the Department of Trade, Industry, and Competition. Our Reusable Fabric Face Masks meet these Guidelines.
